Moving on…
Under the intense mentorship of the talented McCann team, my professional capabilities grew tremendously. One of the biggest lessons I learned was how much things cost! The actual cost of providing a service astounded me. McCann’s financial team was instrumental in teaching me how to manage this aspect of running a business, and to cost myself appropriately.
However, my original intent in starting Black Tulip was to be an independent agency, and to be completely mobile. Being a part of the Kiln did restrict these aspirations somewhat. During my time there, I often felt that I needed to be “out there” a little more - working from coffee shops and restaurants and using my home office as a hub.
So I do feel that the physical space that I occupied in the Kiln became somewhat redundant, and that another motivated entrepreneur should have the chance to fill my position and gain access to the myriad opportunities that I was exposed to.
Thanks for a great experience!

Know that you too were an inspiration and a guide during your time here at The Kiln. I learnt some lessons of value from observing your work and sharing conversations with you.
Glad to hear that you are moving towards greener pastures(yes greener than this background).
Much success to you and Black Tulip.
Di sa kopaneng ke dithaba (find it out)
